100_0162_closeRJ Rowley grew up in Las Vegas, and even though he has lived away from that city for much of the last two decades, he still considers Southern Nevada home.  He is a writer, professor, and lover of all things geographical.  He currently teaches at Illinois State University and thinks and writes about the relationship between people and their places.  Rowley received a Master’s degree and Ph.D. from the University of Kansas and a Bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University.
